I'm working with a Yanmar YM2000 down here in Louisiana and trying to source a front loader that won't wreck my budget. My cousin suggested adapting an old loader frame from a Ford 1210 but I'd have to do a lot of welding. Does anyone know if any loader kits crossfit without needing major mods?

I know a few people who improvised front loaders and while there is some welding and cutting involved I don't think it's all that terrible. As @crankshaftcoffeeclub25 said, finding something with a similar or preferably identical size will help you out. Plus, it all depends on your budget and how much time you're willing to spend on this.

I'll start checking out older Massey and Kubota loaders to see what lines up with the YM2000 frame. I've got access to a welder and some help from my cousin, so a little cutting isn't a dealbreaker if the fit's close. Budget's tight but I'm not in a rush, so I can take a few weeks to track something down and plan the install. Do y'all know any specific model numbers that have worked before or should I just measure and compare frame widths?
