Fitting a BushHog 2246QT loader to a Yanmar YM240D and trying to figure out the best spot to mount custom side brackets. One area has 3/8 tapped holes marked as red, but not sure they’re strong enough. Another spot marked as blue looks much more solid but is farther from where I need it. Not sure what either was originally meant for any advice would be appreciated.

I think the blue-marked spot is strong enough for loader stress, and the red-marked 3/8 tapped holes are for lighter attachments.
Better to double-check if you have a manual!
I also suggest using strong steel and bracing when you fabricate the brackets!

Its better to fabricate brackets that reach the stronger mounting point than risk frame damage or bolt failure.
